With such a name you won’t be surprised to learn that this Indian restaurant has a cruise liner feel to it with first class service and regular in-house pianist.

Langleys Bistro
10 Bedford Place, Southampton, SO15 2DB (Tel: 0238 0224551) This chic bistro celebrates Southampton’s steamship era with a collection of posters proudly displayed on the walls. The menu is a well thought out collection of diverse dishes offering something for every taste. Try the excellent roast rack of lamb with garlic rosemary potatoes, or the grilled duck breast flamed in cognac with soft green peppercorns. There’s also a tempting array of side dishes and a good value set menu.

Buon Gusto

If after 5 courses you’ve still got room, the desserts are fantastic too.
